spring over

Post by Guzzi »

BB,
YES you can but................
You dont tell us which state your in, so the story with leagalities varies, some will just say NO.
Swapping the springs to the top is not a huge job, it may require relocating some brackets and a bit of welding, but thats the easy bit.
The other problem is once you do a spring over axle, and the bum of your ute is now up in the air, its nearly impossible to raise the front high enough to match without dropping the front diff, cranking torsion bars, cutting bump stops, flipping and spaceing ball joints etc (after which your CV joints life expectency is quite short.)
Or go to the effort of doing a solid axle swap on the front.
Short answer , NO not without difficulty.

Wow, that is a nice bit of kit. Any idea who makes that? Local distributor in australia??

That would almost allow 35's I reckon? Maybe 34"?

Ahh, yes I have seen those pics before. They look a little different from that kit, however it is probably their latest version of it or something.

Anyone ever heard of someone in AUS importing these?

If no one has, I be guessing because it isn't ADR compliant?

Last year I had a local 4WD centre ask Superlift if they were making something, and supposedly at the time it was in the R&D phase, I haven't checked up lately to see if they have completed it yet.

Actually.. Looking again, and looking at the logo on the pics above, it looks like it is the Unicon brand, as seen in these ones for a Ford.
