WE Rock - Finals - Milbrodale NSW 19/20 November

Post by Strange Rover »

So this is it....the WE Rock Finals. This event is being held on the 19/20 November at Milbrodale (same place as tuff Truck)

With a bit of luck this event should be massive.

For this event I am flying over from the US both Rich Klein (Big Rich - WE Rock USA promoter) and Rich Klein (Lil' Rich - WE Rock USA course designer. With these two guys here it is really going to lift the level of our competition here. Lil' Rich would have to be one of the most respected course designers in the US profesional rockcrawling scene and, believe me, that Aussie competitors wont know what hit them when he designs the courses out here.

I am also flying out Tracy Jordan (last years UROC pro national champion) and his spotter to compete in my new moon buggy (which I have yet to build).

I am also flying out Lance Clifford (owns pirate4x4) who is going to cover the event live on Pirate4x4.com

Im also building 2 or 3 other buggies for other high profile US teams to compete in for the finals who are going to fund themselves to get to compete in this event.

So basically its a bit of a gamble for me ($$$$$ wise)gettting these US guys out here but I think this event is really going to put Australian rockcrawling on the map. With the US competitors involvement in this, as well as the WE Rock USA guys we are really going to be on the world stage for this event.

Should be good.

What this also means is that the buggies that Im building for the other US guys to drive are for sale - Im calling these buggies the "Rentals". They will be a very similar build to Tom's moon buggy (component wise) except better (we are always learning). So if anybody wants to buy one of these buggies then Im going to sell them cheap. If you buy them before the event Ill sell them for around $18000 each and if you buy them after the event they will be $25000 each. Now this does seem alot of money but I dont think anybody could get all the parts together for the $18000. The spec will be:

Commodore V6 series 2 engine
T700 auto
LT230 (rover transfer with stock 3.32:1 ratio)
Toyota 60series diffs with cromo rear axles and either haultech CV or 30/30 Longs
Either Fox air shox or Race Runner air shocks
Heim jointed suspension
PRP competition seat
5 point harness
full hydro steer
either 37in Krawlers or 37in comp spec claws
Steel beadlocked wheels
Warn winch

These rigs are getting built in the next few weeks so if you want one PM me.

Need to get some ads in the 4by mags. It's fine telling us, but there is obviously a bit of money been outlayed. What is needed are buckets of spectators, whether they be from the more "mainstream" side of wheeling or elsewhere,

Oh yeah, we need water, toilets and showers (especially that time of the year - biggest complaint of "the many" at Tuff Truck)

Sam,

I think everyone would agree. You da man.

In any sport, interest or hobby the vast majority say "we should do this" or "lets do that".

You are one of the select few that can honestly say "i'm doing this" the follow that at a later stage with "i've done that".

A big thank you to Yourself, Overkill and Cheezy for getting Australian Rock Crawling up and running.

(Note- If there others who have put as much effort in and put as much on the line as these guys put your hand up so that you can be thanked as well)

This is not an ass kiss. Simply put these guys (possibly others too) ARE ACTUALLY DOING IT.

One word "Drought"
Tuff Truck dropped the dam level as it was. You would have to ship in your own water which would add huge costs to ticket prices.
The property is an operating dairy farm, need to keep that in mind.

Anyway....you all stink in the first place...nobody is gonna notice :finger:

You guys would take my back if some Aussie Blokes tried anything right?

It's around 1/2 an hours drive from Singleton, the closest major town. Which has a Bowling Club, RSL Club and 9 pubs from memory, 3 of which are within site of the brothel.

As for a fight the place is built on the coal mining industry, is flooded with wannabe cowboys and having a major army base just a few kilometers out of town has plenty of army blokes floating around. So shouldn't be to hard to pick a fight if you want to :D

Actually Singleton pumps out quite a few good sorts, it's Muswellbrook that is somewhat scarey
