.... I think you are thinking of Woodpecker Gully Challenge held on 27th November.
The question was referring to what we used to call "Taree Challenge" and has been renamed "North Coast Woodpecker".
It is an event run by the OnAll4s, hosted by Manning Valley and this year the other clubs invited are Raymond Terrace, Maitland Districts and clubs from Pt Macqaurie and Tamworth, and will be held on 10-11 September.
It is not open to spectators from other clubs.
I hope this info clears this up :D :D

So how does a club obtain an invite to this comp or have the entries closed as I am sure our members might be intrested

The event cordinator sent out the invites some time ago. This event is still in its development stage and time will tell as to whether or not it grows into a major one. It was to give the opportunity for some of the clubs from the Northern areas of the state to have a little fun and compete!
Remember Woodpecker in Sydney started out as a couple of clubs getting together to prove who was best :D

To get an entry into woodpecker you have to be invited and they thats hard even if we are in sydney. thats why we want to get involved in this comp so we can help or atleast get the seat time

As the Outright winner of last years Woodpecker my self and my club got an Invite to the Northcoast Event and when i replied to get more info on this event i got a reply from Michael Csiszar telling me all positions were allready filled.

Do you even know what you are talking about Brett? Because i can guarentee you dont. And in any case if you read my reply i obviously allready stated i got an Invite :roll:

In any case i have now been given more info on this event and the reasons as to why we did not get a possition and am quite happy with the Outcome.
