Hi don't post much in this section but i have just fitted a 3.5 auto and rover transfer into my VITARA.
Now the Radiator is in the back for room reasons and i am having trouble getting the water to pump through.I have tried everything i can as far as making sure there is no air lock in the system.My only other thought is that as i have to modifie the Zook heater box to make the hoses fit i have just plugged the 2 pipes where they come out past the rear of the inlet manifold will this effect the water pump operation ????
In most cases i would have said no but am running out of options.

We looked into this today.I have been trying to bleed it from the front nd having no luck so today we tried from the back and it worked a treat bled first time and runs cool as. We did pull the pump off and check it and it was like new.

Im running a stock P6B rover Sedan(1970 model) and i have never had an overheating issue except at bathurst when my thermostat locked up.RaginRover wrote:I very much doubt the 3.5 water pump is up to the job, did you replace it or have a look at it, it is more thank likely shagged anyway, go davies craig and you should be fine or replace the pump, ask the haultech guys they run rear rads on the rangie motors

I can remember being there when you guys setup the Ruggy and I didn't remember any aftermarket pumps having to be used - Chuck hadn't said that any of you needed it either. I do remember a crap load of air was stuck in there thought.
