OZ ROCK - 10th to 11th Dec @ Yea , VIC

Post by Cheezy4x4 »

In conjuction with Vic Krawlers, and a few others (soon to be released) we
have started a new rock crawling event that has been named OZ ROCK.
The first round will be run just out of Yea Victoria and will be held on the 15-16th of October this year.
The event will be staged on private property that is 1300 acreas of the best granite rock I have ever seen. The event will start Friday 2pm with a show and shine in the town raising as much money as possible for the local charitys.
The driving events will be spread over 2 days with 2 stages being run at the same time, just to keep it interesting. There is camping on site for the interstaters and plenty of room to spread out. This will be a family event also with things to do for the kids. :D If you are interested in competing or just to watch give me a PM here we need to estimate the numbers.
There will be a website and PH number to contact soon. All competitors will be sent a info pack that will explain all. We went for a drive today in the buggie on the site and man its nuts Grip Grip Grip  Pics up soon :D
There are also 4 other rounds starting in Jan next year that are being organised ATM.
Thanks Cheezy :D

you all may have seen these pics, but these are some of the harder rocks that may be used in the OZ Rock stages.

If you have a buggy/truggy/zuggy, we need u

If you want to watch some hard core rock crawling action, on some of the best rock in OZ then we need U.

The more driver and spectator support we get for this event, the bigger it will be, and the bigger the next one will be too. Lets make it happen.

Will see you all there ;)

looks and sounds awesome guys, but just a thought, since its still a bit away maybe you could get the guys that video and take the professional photographs to use some zoom lenses and keep out of the way of the action.

W.E ROCK round 2 was mad, but i know most of the photos i took , and the majority of my video footage were covered with guys wearing fluro yellow vests all over , in front, on the sides and behind the buggies.
I know they probably need to get the best shots and angles to sell for their businesses , but dont forget theres also alot of other people there wanting good photos and footage without having these guys in their shots.

Anyways, looking forward to heaps more action in the future, keep going hard. ;)

That is very similar to a WA property we drive over here.

Good to see Vic krawlers are getting done what they set out to do from the beginning.

You should run a round of ozrock over there, if u got rocks, buggys/truggys and its in OZ( even WA is OZ) then it could be OZrock :D

To be honest Mock we have been thinking about it for some time now. The problem is getting someone with experience to help organise it. Or just enough people interested in organising.

Also another problem is that I only know a very select few who have a zuggy or truggy, so for now it’s most probably not viable. But on the other hand it should be easier to run with less entrants.

I will get some pic’s to show you what we have. Not many people in WA know that this sort of stuff gets driven over here
