just wonder wot this does ?

its located on the clutch pedal bracket, i was just adjusting the cable and i noticed it under there, i looked it up in the workshop manual and it only tells me how 2 take it out replace it and adjust it.

so yeah just curious as 2 wot this does ???

wtf. on the inside or outside the cab? i am guessing on the top of the bracket inside.

I thought most of the adj is done by the nut on the outside at the end of the cable.

got page no. in manual?

yeah im adjusting the height of the pedal from the floor. and yes inside the cab..

If this is an electronic switch then it is usually so you can not start the vehicle without depressing the clutch. Hyundi Excels have them as well.

Basicaly it stops you from cranking the car while its in gear.

It may or may not work in the zook in Aus but its prob fitted to all vehicles but only hooked up for certain countries.

Yeah it may not be connected where the wires come back out of the Harness.

it is part of the emission control system ,when you depress the clutch it is supossed to trigger the solonoid on the front of the carb to stop the car popping or idle ing to low between shifts ,controlled byy that little black box behind the glove box

Well there you go. I beleive this is quite possibly exactly what this switch would be for.

some new cars you cant start without holding the clutch pedal in can you start yours with the clutch de-pressed??

yes i can start it with the clutch in or out but as describbed by v8zuki thats wot its for.
