Remember some days your the pigeon and other days your the statue
Carrols make EFS and Enforcer springs. Enforcer is for load carrying and EFS is for medium load and comfort (more flex)(I can usually get slightly longer shocks for these coils). I am not sure about Dobinsons but I can get you a price if you like. Just send me a pm.
A price for EFS or Enforcer springs including bushes U bolts Gr Hangers and Gr pins and EFS shocks and and Ironman steering damper delivered to your door is $1500 for the 75 series until the end of September in Eastern Australia. $1550 at other times. $1450 if you are in the Brisbane area.

I've got Dobinsons in my Feroza- and am far from happy with them.... Way too hard; so hard I ended up removing a leaf because they just wouldn't flex and would launch me out the driver's over moderate bumps on road!?!
The supplied bushes were also the incorrect size for the leaf eyes- luckily I had access to a lathe to machine them down. Very expensive springs that I wish I'd never bought- $700 for a pair of leaf springs....
Hopefully their springs for other applications aren't that bad.

Yes, same number of leafs, even though IIRC their catalogue said they should have had one more?
They are way thicker than the factory leafs and the big overload leaf had to be seen to be believed!!
I actually ended up removing one leaf and replaced the overload with my factory spec one. I lost most of my lift
but at least have a liveable solution. I've still got more load carrying capacity at least....

Make sure that you order the appropriate spring rate for your intended use.
My dobinsons are if anything slightly too soft..... but then I asked for the softest rate they had for my model so I certainly cant complain.
If you dont specify that you want soft or extra soft they will give you heavy duty as a default. Not that dobinsons are alone there - every manufacturer to prevent getting their ass sued off when you overcook it around a corner and hit a tree.
I hear heaps of good about Kings but my Kings springs on the Vitara were way way too hard.
in some models they only make in one spring rate and that may not be applicable to all in that model range. For instance a 3.3 Turbo Diesel MQ is gonna weight a lot more than a 2.8 petrol but if the spring rate is one size fits all it's gonna be stiff as on the 2.8.
The same probably applies with any softtop versus hardtop, or any 4 cylinder where there is a V6 option.
At least most LWB have a seperately specified part.... if they dont and you have a SWB walk away.

In my case they only made one spring to suit, so I didn't have a choice. In any case they are way too hard for a Feroza. I did a trip at Easter towing a fully loaded trailer, plus had a full 330 litre pod on the roof, and the back full of gear too- the springs were flexing as they should have been with no load; but I'd hazard a guess that the vehicle was way over it's load limit... PS: The ride height hardly dropped at all too?!Beastmavster wrote: My dobinsons are if anything slightly too soft..... but then I asked for the softest rate they had for my model so I certainly cant complain.
