hey guys can someone tell me what the average fuel consuption is for a feroza 1.6l (average km's to a tank)

i think mine is getting a bit thirsty

the misses gets about between 400- 450

500km a tank, ive been running full tanks of bp ultimate and my driving involves 80km per day to get to work and back half of that highway....

i get about 300-350km on shell optimax running 30" tyres. Mostly city driving.
Does that sound really bad??

I get about 400 - 450 out of a tank running Caltex Vortex with 30" tyres.
I think what you are getting is reasonable

i also forgot to mention i drive pretty hard, both feet are tooo heavy.
So i guess its ok, would like a bit better though, i would be laughing if i got 500km out of a tank.

My roza used to "drink" a lot, rumble fairly a bit at the gearstick. i was worried about all that fuel disappearing, i sent my roza to a pro mechanic to do a real good tune up, did a good job and it did improve a lot, less fuel, less rumbling of the gearstick when idle.

It's probably better to post litres used per 100km rather than how much you get from a tank. That gets rid of fuel guage inaccuracies and people who really test the "E" mark out!

I get around 10.5 litres / 100km. That's all city driving on BP Ultimate. I've been keeping usage records since I bought it, so really should sit down one day and work out an accurate figure. I'm running 235/70R15 tyres too.

hmm, i get about 12.0-14L/100Km but i already know its time for a tune up. its idleing pretty low, around 600-700rpm without load.

There's really nothing to "tune", the only adjustment is your ignition timing. Or replace your oxy sensor..

ive been thinking about that since i posted.. what will i actually be tuning, not like my old carb motors.
So yea, o2 sensor is going to get checked and when i get a timing light (maybe tmrw) timing will get looked at.

Mine has always drank about 10L/100km, sometimes a little better, sometimes a little worse. Not too much difference between drining open roads or in traffic. The unifilter i installed a month or so back has improved consumption marginally.

Hopefully once I get the colly wobbles out of my driveline it'll get even better.

My feroza is a stock '89 narrowtrack exept for lukey extractors, unifilter, and 235/70/15s

i think my clutch is buggered as when im driving if i put light pressure on the clutch pedal it slips do you think this could cause bad fuel economy as it seems to use more driving down the highway

I guess it would mean you are revving higher than you need to a lot of the time... I might gettin a clutch soon off ebay $200 delivered... PHC Valeo if anyone has tried these before...

Have you checked if the cable needs adjusting? You'll probably find the clutch has worn and the cable is under tension constantly (ie. the clutch isn't fully clamping.)

i will check that but last time i was out for a bash diong hill climbs the clutch pedal was pulsating a fare bit

well.. i guess this post saves me asking

I just drove my roza from bendigo to leeton via albury and back to bendigo via echuca. It was loaded with reasonably heavy computer gear pretty much to the roof and I got around 450km/tank which is about 50 better than I was getting when I had the "original" tyres on it, unloaded.
I am now running 31in BFG's on 8in sunnies... dropped about 500rpm off at 100kph, which is where i think it made the difference

sidenote: what pressure do pplz run their 4wd tyres at?? it seems a lot rougher on the road with the bfg's than it did with the roadies.
