What have i done wrong?

Post by vanbox »

i have a pretty much stock standard suzuki sierra. (2in body lift and 2in extended shackles).
i decided to do an elliptic suspension set up on the rear ( 1/2 spring bolted upside down to the chassis and to the shackle)..

my problem is, it only drops 50mm from the chassis before picking a wheel. shocks are not limiting, as i have removed them.
do i need softer springs? (running main hilux leaf as elliptic and standard suzuki springs)
do i need a longer elliptic spring?
should i run hilux springs and suzuki elliptic?

any info would be great.
thanks

i think the way 2 go would be a softer spring for your elliptic section. a sierra spring would be your best bet from what ive seen
