Do all rover rear tail shafts run the same size uni or are there some with larger ones?

They Run 1310 Uni Joints in both styles but there are 2 different style shafts and flanges. The early ones will give more angle but are still only as strong as the later Disco style ones.Maggot4x4 wrote:Do all rover rear tail shafts run the same size uni or are there some with larger ones?
I tried to see if any of the Rover Guys on Pirate had heard of any 1350 style flanges but all i got was replies from people from this site anyway.

Yeah, had the front uni of the rear shaft let go at 100kph on the way back from Vic on thursday. Funny that, the rear uni joint on the rear driveshaft let go on me Saturday morning.
Split the whole yoke apart. Wrecked a good weekend too.
Had to drive from Dargo to Melbourne in front wheel drive in a headwind.
Top speed of 80km/h on the way home was starting to piss people off a bit!

I don't know if it is a direct result, but I think it might be a contributing factor on a long high speed drive. No other damage done execpt for my clothes.andrew e wrote:could this have something to do with the offset of your rear nissan diff?
any other damage form doing 100kph, i have heard of cars flipping over when the tailshaft breaks at these speeds.
