if SPOA is done on squishy springs it should only be 4.5" lift... about the same as most people run to clear 31's... but you are raising the COG by that much and not widening - be best to add some decent offset rims cos the weight of the rubber alone won't counteract the height change.
The worst thing about censorship is ███████.
I agree, why run all the expence and headaches of a spring over when you don"t need to.jtraf wrote:No flamin I only ment why SPOA if all you want to run is a 31in tyre.......
Geez you guys is touchy...........
If however you have future plans or you just like the whole fab adventure, go for it, (but you don't need to ).
Peter.
Cable bracing is the way of the future!

is wide track or narrow track????
How much lift do the springs have???? are they arc'ed or are they flat also contributing to a higher vehicle and more tippyness....
if narrow track and SPOA, lifted springs and 31 then I would dare say it would be tippy.......but wide track, flat springs and 31's may be OK.........

i had an NT SPOA, on 31 swampers on 8 inch rims with a HUGE off-set (the disc break was level with the inside bead edge).
this thing was stable AS. and very predictable even though it had worn out original springs.
i had lovered the bump stops, by 3 inches. this ment that at highway speeds the zook sat on the out sidebump stop during cornering.
it was alas unreal off road.
would i do it again.
NO, i think there are better ways to get lift and fit bigger tyres. i would now go as low as i possibly could and cut the rest out for my clearence.
