4WD Systems Snorkels

Post by BOB_1 »

Has anyone used 4wd Systems to supply a snorkel for a GU.
Just having a look - $289, About $150 cheaper than anywhere else?

I was considering one, but I was told they are very restrictive.

I've got a Safari one now.

I have one on my shorty. No complaints at all. I'm not sure why these get a bad rap all the time, mine was easy to install and has given no trouble.

Not sure if they are one in the same but I would not use Air Flow snorkels. Templates are poor, finish quality is poor, and the design in general is poor.
I have had one in my shed since trying to fit it in January, and the design allowed water to get in, even the supplied hose clamps were too small!
I know more than a dozen people who run them on different vehicles and 1 was happy with theirs.

I will now buy a new fibreglass guard, and mount a Safari snorkel.

4wd systems :bad-words: :bad-words: . thats all i can say about them full stop. apparently my mk is the only one that has a different bolt pattern for a fuel tank. and the build quality i wouldnt even own up to it.

Good luck
