welded diffs

i been told if i weld my rear diff i'll screw axel's out then
anyone out there know how much you have to be givin it to do axel's
i've done 3 diffs last year in 9 months so i havent been out for ages
i got a sahara hight top 6" lift and 35 muddies and 12ht turbo diesel
anyone got any ideas

Weld it.....then learn how to keep ur right foot off the floor and you'll have better luck with the diffs :D :finger:

mate what does it do to the onroad handling and turning thing does it hurt it in anyway other then scraping the tyres a bit

mate i got 8 inch shackles ans 2" body lift and 35's not definate on 6" thats just waht everyone says i got a mate with a sring over on his and mine is 2" lower he's spewin

put a lockright locker they are cheap and not that noisy anymore or get the factory locker from import wreckers :?:

Holy Shiat, Mate that looks mean, does she feel a bit top heavy? but then again they arnt built for speed are they :) . Nah mate she looks really tough nice Rig, certainly makes mine look like a baby, but one day my friend she'll stand tall, not quite that tall but she'll stand tall! ;)

mate it is top heavy but if ya got springs that work good your'll be sweet it's slowly getting looser

have you got any pics of the shackles? did you do the body lift yourself? if so how hard was it. How'd you go about registering it with 8" shackles? Dunno what state your in but im sure they'd have a cow here in QLD. But again mate thats a nice old truck you got there, cant wait for mine to look half beasty!!! :cool:

I just put a lockrite in my 40 and so far its all sweet.
$242US so i would consider one? + postage
but yours is a long wheelbase so im sure you will be apples.

I think i have seen you(your60) around before.

i get it rego'd easy here mate i
i got pulled over at rainbow beach about 4 months ago and QLD transport
old mate said they don't like extended shackles but mine because it's a import and the shackles look original he cant do anything and it's rego is NSW and he didn't like the body lift either but 2'' is legal down here so thats all i got
i got a mate thats got some 37 MTR'S for sale so i put them on and they rubbed on the springs on lock so they were no good but it looked awesome

where did ya get ya locker from DRS what was the website

yeh DRS i wanna get a lokka for the front of my 40 too... how does it going with tighter turns?
