Post by -Richo- »

Just wondering what diff ratios are available for 60 series housings, and can other model cruiser diffs be swapped in with ratios that may not be available in 60 series diff centres?

Add 4.88 and 5.29...

Rockhopper, I didn't know the 4.30 is available for the older diff? I thought they were only for the 100 series diffs.

i spose the 5.29's are as rare as rocking horse crap? Are the 5.29's an aftermarket thing? if not what model 60's should i be looking for to get them?

5.29 AFAIK is not a factory ratio, but aftermarket suppliers do have them. I don't know of Aus suppliers, but here is one in the States:
Click for Randy's Ring and Pinion.

BTW when they said "grind for cross pin", they were referring to the semifloater diffs. No need for grinding for full floaters.

Standard cruiser diffs are 9". Only the front on the 1990+ 70 and 80 series are 8" reverse cut. Bunderas also use 8" front and rear.

Cheers,
Dave
