35'' tyres
What mods do you guys think i'll need to do to fit 35''x10.5'' tyres to my disco 1 will i still need to chop the gaurds if i hav a 2'' spring lift and a 2.5'' body lift?
Little old patrol with a little old diesel. Driven once a week to church, never been offroad.
I promise.

Do I need to chop 50mm out of the gaurd all the way around or can they just be trimmed down by the sill, because the tyres are only 10.5'' wide i wouldn't have thought that they would catch on the top of the wheel arches. any ideas or thoughts appreciated.

It all depends on what wheels you're using.
With standard 16x7 alloys I had 35x10.5's fitting inside the guards, and only chopped off a minimal amount.
Then I got another set of wheels with 4" backspacing and I had to chop out all the outer guard up to the inner wheel well line.
BTW, the difference in handling and stability was amazing with the offset wheels.
An easy option is to get a Rangie Spares flare kit. Looks good too.
