New Feroza owner needs some info

Post by ronnie »

Just bought a Feroza in the Philippines and cannot find out what year it is. No year is listed on any of the registration paperwork. I tried to determine it by the vin #, but the 10th digit is a "0" which supposedly they did't use. Can anyone help? Also, was there any difference in the dash panel between the Feroza and the Rocky? I would like to order a dash cover from the US, but all they list is the Rocky.

The USA Rocky is the same as a Feroza, and left hand drive.

What front have you got on your Feroza? The headlights and grill design will help narrow down the year you've got. Also, what model Feroza is it eg. ELI, SXP etc?

It says it a Feroza SE 1.6, It has rectangle headlights and a plastic grill (greyish/black) with 3 horizonal ribs with Daihatsu in the middle and 1.6 on right. Thanks for the help.

Sounds like one of the first model Ferozas (by the sound of the grille)? The earlier models had 16 valve or something on the grille IIRC?

My '92 has just got the plain grille with no badge on it.

I found this picture on the web. The grill is exactly like mine. Does this help?

The wide track has a wider wheel track then a normal one.

Quickest way to identify is the size of the flares on the wheel arches. The one in the picture you posted is a widetrack, and has considerably large plastic flares on the wheel arches, a narrow track either has no flares or small flares which only stick out a little bit.

I think your year model is not earlier than 1993 because feroza SE just came in in PH from 1993 onwards.

try to browse/join below link - its a daihatsu club in PH. these link will lead you to their Feroza Forum.
