85 4runner/ 85 import surf

Post by srs4x4 »

hi guys just bought a 85 import surf LN60 model an was wondering if my 4 runner LN60 gear box an transfer case wil bolt to the 2lt motor.

I'm also wondering if my front diff will bolt into it as the diff in it has auto locking hubs an its stuffed i think cause it makes a bad noise anyway any help would be great.

gearbox and transfer should be right. they were the same for a lot of years. if have a LN106 tranfer case on my LN61 4 runner.

in terms of the diff, i assume the 85 4runner is IFS?

I think the Auto surfs had a bottom shifting Transfer in the early model
