getting the $#%$# Cigarette lighter out

Post by drifta »

Hey people,

I've just spent the last hour trying to fix the danm cigarette lighter on my feroza and have got no-where :x .. does anyone know how to remove the cigarette lighter without having to take the whole dash out? looks like to get the cigarette lighter out, you have to remove the centre console and to remove the centre console you have to remove the dash GRRR..

all this work for a danm cigarette lighter ! argh!.. i want the cigarette lighter for accessories btw like mobile phone charger etc..

Cheers,

Paul

You should be able to unplug the electrical connector on the back either from the gap underneath the centre console- or remove the stereo. Then check if you've got power at that plug and go from there.

Download the Service Manual and that will show you how to disassemble everything.

Much easier to got to Tricky Dickys, or Randy Electronics and buy a couple of aftermarket cigarette lighter type plugs, and wire them up in a convenient place. I have 2, that sit under the dash, so I can run mobile, and GPS at the same time.

It should be a 36mB file - here's the link : http://www.tunedloud.com/OuterLimits4x4 ... ervice.zip

Has got everything about the Feroza in it.
