NH Pajero 250 000km service/ repairs

Post by slosh »

I bought a NH 3.0 auto Pajero GLS LWB couple of days ago for daily driver. Has 250 000km on the clock. I'll be changing all the fluids in it but was wondering whether there is other things I should look at doing- eg timing belt/ chain or whatever.

To get a blue slip I also have to change engine/ transmission mounts. The latter look OK but the engine mounts look very hard to get to. Any one done this b4?

Thanks for help.

My engine mounts were changed at the 100,000 service. But I didnt do the work. Do you know if the belts were changed at the 200,000 service ?

Timing belt has to be done every 100,000ks.
Water pumps on the average seem to last about 160-200,000ks.
If you don't have a service history I'd be looking at these plus all the drive belts (if they look old) and top & bottom radiator hoses.
I just luv my "clacker Jabber"

Thanks fellas. I don't have service history so will prolly do the timing/ drive belts. A light squealing noise up front means something there is nearly shot anywayz.
