Sychros could be rooted
Transmission may be low on oil
Selectors may be gone

But I reckon it's your synchro's

sorry

I dump the oil there was enough to be at its right level and no glittery stuff or teeth came out

As well as doing what yours is doing mine started making some crazy grinding noises under engine bracking. All my syncro's (1st, 2nd, 3rd)were rooted. I ended up doing a full rebuild (bearings, seals, & syncros), and its awesome now.

Ahhh the 151 gearbox hassel had me tossed for a while too.
Go to Toyota and get the little plastic cup for the base of the shifter & get the round plastic shifter washer/gasket that the shifter sits in.
This should cure your problems, try this first before you wrench the gearbox out (I did this first  ), also dump your gearbox oil and put some fresh oil in. All up this should only set you back around $100.
This is all I ended up doing to mine and it worked ace.
Cheers
Andrew

Actually, I had forgotten about doing that HG....I also did this to mine when the gearbox was rebuilt, and in my old 4runner, with good results.

There is a right up on Offroad.com if anybody else needs the info.
