ARB Air Compressor NOT WORKING RIGHT

Post by GQ4.8coilcab »

I bought a ARB compressor second hand and it wasnt working, they had to put the bearing kit through it or sumthin. While i picked it up, i bought another one to run a twin setup, and now the new one is stuffed. Has anyone fixed it themselves. I have looked on the search engine and couldnt fine anything. Ny help would be great.

I pulled mine apart ages ago and the bolt that holds tha tank onto the manifold had seized in and sheared itself off (alloy & steel thing). Anyway I retapped the hole to the next size down but was unable to get the tank to seal properly.
Went to ARB and was able to buy a new manifold head bit plus some other bits that destroy themselves when you pull them out, that had to do with the air flow/sealing when it was pumping.
Anyway, after all that, every part is available as a spare form ARB and they should have a schematic(sp) diagram thing of it in store

its mainly the rubber valves and seal in them that go from running for a long time pumping up tyres and tanks ... they really need to be kept out of the water to have any sort of life

i can put my hand on the outlet and it will stop pumping. I think the "con rod" is gone on it. Cause it is very rattly.
