Cruise Control for GU 3.0 TD

Post by Neetas »

Have been looking around for drive-by-wire (DBW) cruise control units to suit a new GU, 3.0 TD manual. Have prev used a cable operated Autron, which worked well. Can anyone comments on Autron or other DBW brands for use on the GU. Thks

the comand kits use the cable type , they route the cable in through to the pedal and connect in there. check the mounting braket kit from nissan, or the hole kit, as it comes with instrutions.

Thanks for the responses - went for the Autron Auscruise Drive by wire unit $790 fitted or $890 fitted for the upgrade which includes a twin unit featuring speed alert, and speed buttons for commonly used speeds, in addition to the std cruise functions.
Pics and more info at http://www.autron.com.au/newweb/index1024.htm

BTW, Dynamco supply Autron.

Also Cobra Alarms sell the Drive by Wire Autron Auscruise as well. Ended up getting a better deal through Cobra via the dealer who negotiated a better deal on my behalf - about $20 cheaper, plus a free hazard warning beacon and dry powder fire extinguisher.

Don't know why your prices are so high over there. Here in WA I was quoted $516 inc freight to northwest WA.This was for the AC-DBW-patrol 3 litre kit inc steering wheel controls.piece of cake to fit.
