Body Lift Q - Hilux?

Post by @cer »

Hi guys,

Im looking at getting some new tyres, 33's to be precise and I have now got information that says i need to do a 2" bodylift to fit them.

So

How much does it cost to buy the bits and pieces to do the body lift? Where to buy them from?

Is it hard to do yourself at home? Can someone explain? I would think its just a matter of jacking up the body and putting in some blocks between the chassis and the body... correct?

Also, can someone give me some instructions on how to do it on a 1990 Dual Cab Hilux SR5? How many points does it need to be spaced at? etc

Also, does it need to be engineered to be legal? Also, do the tyres need to be engineers if i go with 33's?

Let me know guys!

Thanks
