Ferwoaza here, moved this from the intro thread, I keep that one clean
Ferozious,
thats one hardcore feroza you got there, I would like to ask if, is there a way that other than a hilux diff up front are there other alternatives so as not having to replace the rear diffs for the solid axle conversion? Im tired of having to change my c.v. joints upfront every year! the 33's are killing them.

Not Sure
The reason I replaced both my front and rear was - I managed to buy a Toyota Hilux with V6 conversion for $2000. Included all the running gear etc.
My problem wasn't breaking CV's, but destroying engines and clutches, so I wanted bigger engine and better lower range gearing for it. I'm surprised your Feroza has got gearing good enough to turn the 33's off road without riding the clutch etc.
If you wanted to, the Hilux front diff has 5.1 ratios available for it which would be the closest match for the rear, therefore you could leave all your running gear alone and Solid Axle Swap the front !
Mike Read in the US has also done a SAS to his Feroza, I'm not sure what diff he has used, but I know he has gone leaf-under at the front and leaf-over at the rear.
As I say, the reason I used Hilux was availability and cost. I'm not sure how easy those diffs are to get where you are, but you don't need to do both.

You can get 5.29 for hilux diff, exact match to the Feroza rear.
The problem is, the wheel stud patterns are different. So you can either a) risk not having the correct tyre if you get a flat, b) carry 2 spares c) put a hilux diff in the rear as well or d) look at somehow modifying the Feroza rear to a 6 stud pattern. It's going to mean new rims all round regardless...
I don't think a solid front axle with 5.29 r&p and 5on5.5 stud pattern exists anywhere unfortunately...
