i was at ag-quip in gunedah and a fellow there (with a nice yellow zuke) was selling 'climax' 'drop shcakles' (is that the right term?) you pull a pin for 'off road' and replace the pin for on road... he claimed these were legal (in nsw anyway) does that sound right?

Fuel, fuel, fuel!
Buy a zook cheaper to run than the cars that all these guys will be selling soon coz they cant afford to run!
On the tv just 5min ago, they have predicted petrol may reach $2 a litre in a years time!

buy a patrol and put it on gas
or better still buy one on gas.

when you told me you wanted a 4x4 you told me you wanted
to go camping & touring with your mates,
not going to fit to many mates & gear into a spook.
if you want it for around town and just a day play in the bush the spook will do the job.
if price is the concern remember a patrol swb is about the same price or a little more but they have factory LSD coil springs much more ground clearance and will do 100kms down the highway.

Personally I would walk away. That price is majorly high. I jsut got a 95 widetrack with 2inch springs, pretty much new 215 muds, roll bar, rear locker etc etc for 6grand.

Make sure you check out all the traders etc because as everybody knows dealers put a shitload more onto the car then what it's worth.

The old guy across the road has it at his mechanic shop, says he is sick of having it there and he needs the room. He paid $60.00 to get it to his shop, so as long as he gets that $60 back, he's happy.
Will be keeping doors, guards and maybe a few other things for spares, better than paying $70 at the wreckers for 1 guard or $100 for 1 door. :P

Do a check on its title, you don't want to get in strife just for a bargain.

It was donated to the Motocross Club where the old guys little boy rides, they gave it to him to fix up and then said they wouldn't bother with and they bought a quad bike for recoveries instead. So the zook was signed over to him.
