How to remove radio?

Post by Sydneysider »

I've got a '99 4.2TD GU Patrol. It has the standard CD/Radio/tape player. How do you go about removing the radio? - I want to run the power to a switch so I can choose to run it from the aux batt. (radio is not coded)

Thanks for any help you can provide,

there is two small cut outs in the bottom of the dash facia that surrounds the stereo and heater controls etc, gently pry it out with flat blade screw driver and then it just pulls out cause its only clipped in, then the stereo has 4 screws holding it in, very easy to do
