On a lazy mid December Sunday the boys and I headed an hour into the suburbs to a future housing estate in Jakarta's environs , boring scenery but some challenging obstacles !
The Java Jeep Team at my apartment
Irawan - the mud duck !
FrankenJeep in the mud
Luki - first time out after a rebuild
The Java Jeep Team - drinks break
Cigarette ad ?
Checking the rear view mirror
Creek Crossing
The boys try out the lockers
This is steeper than it looks , the top metre is close to vertical
Yes an 4 cyl F-head and an L-head side valve can climb this 70 degree embankment
The JavaJeep Team hit the most challenging part of the course, a very deep washout that has claimed a few Rollzuki's , CJ7's and Landcruisers . Ultra short wheelbase [ but flexy , exclude Suzukis here ] vehicles such as Flatfenders , CJ5s and long wheelbase vehicles such as the larger Landrover Defenders can get through but it was pretty hairy !
As usual me and FrankenJeep were ' on point ' and sent in first by my fearless fellow team members :0
AdventureBabe hangs on to the harness ready for another roll over and then decides to bail out !
I decide to back up and try another angle. AdventureBabe can be seen running away in the background !
Luki is the newest member of the Java Jeep Team and from the number plate you can see we now only accept Harvard graduates
