body lift
Definitely do it yourself....go to a mates and borrow tools and his help. Its not hard at all.
Go to a plastics place a get some 75mm dia HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) cut to 50mm bits. Drill the holes yourself (heaps easier to work with than steel or alloy). Get bolts, washers etc from a bolts place (use nylocs). Bolts are the most expensive part (around $80-100).
Talk to Cris (Ludacris) about crush tubes (I assume they'd slide into the block with the bolt running through the middle) to make it all legal.
Do a search to find out the 100% legal procedure.....big pain in the ....

Just did my 2" lift today. All up it cost me $105. I did get quoted $850 by a mob in Brisbanes Northside.

My High Tensil bolts costs me $1.45 each and Nyloc nuts cost me $45c each.

GQ SWB 5" lift + 2" body lift
Yeah my bolts were only $1.45 plus GST as well.
Just so people know MQ's follow the same guide as in GQ bible, but use 5" bolts instead of 6", and rear bolts are 12x1.25mm thread.
Easy to do once you realise the reason the rear wasnt coming up is because the spare tyre carrrier is mounted to body and chassis....on mine it was anyway...lol

i feel so ripped off now, as soon as i bought my GQ i paid $300 to get my 3.5in blocks taken out! If i knew it was so simple or even looked at it for 5 mins i could have done it myself loL!!! Oh well thinkn of goin 2" soonish ill give it a crack then.....just wanted to vent some anger lol!!

Gday, i sell bodylift kits for Patrols from MQ through to GQs short and long wheelbasses. They are made from nylon 65mm in diameter and use high tensile bolts with nyloc nuts. They start in price from $100 for shortys and $115 for LWBs and i also can sell just the blocks $7 each.
