Logan District June Night Nav

Post by Marshy »

When: 14 June 2003 (moved back a week due to Sunshine Coast Gymkhana)

Where: KFC Redbank Plains

Time: 7:00pm sign-on

Rated: Medium-Hard

Contact: Shane Sheraton. 0418 712 768

This run will be more on the "hard" side than the "medium". Anyone who knows Shane's runs, you'll know what I mean!!

Hey Simon i see this causing dramas because the Landcruiser mart is also doing a night run the same night. And it has prizes up for grabs.

Yeah, good point Tony. The problem we have is, we have a lot of members (myself included) going to the S.C Gymkhana. So we moved the night run to allow for this. If we keep moving the runs, we'll never have one, because there's always gonna be something else on. It's not good, I know, but what can you do? I'll let Shane know, but I don't think he'll move it. Thanks for pointing it out but Tony.

A lot of rock, a bit of mud, ugly side slopes, and hills that nearly qualify as winch challenge stuff!!
Oh, and Redbank Plains, is on the way out to Ipswich. (if you know where that is.)

I have to say i have never been on a bad run when Shane has had something to do with it. He puts on a real good run.

Spoke to Shane last night, he's not real keen to move the date. He's not too worried about the runs clashing tracks, because a lot of his run is in new areas that he has obtained permission to use.

the one near the highway is actually redbank, different place? myself. i dont know where the KFC redbank plains is or if there is even one?

is it in this jones rd track everyone has been telling me about? thinking of going to check it out this weekend before i decide. dont want to break anything?

Anyone commited to going that owns a rather small, very standard vehicle? (and will admit to it ) i dont want to be the only one holding up the traffic.

My suggestion. Tee it up with someone at the start line to travel with them. Choose a capable car, so that if you do get into trouble, there is someone there to help you quickly. There will be a lot of hard driving on this run. Shane's idea of "medium" is a little different to most people's.
