Can a 22re head and injection bolt up to a 22r?

Post by ausyota »

A mate of mine has a Lux with a 22r. Can a 22re head and fuel injection system bolt straight onto his 22r block?

If it can and anyone has the 22re bits can you PM me.
Thanks
Paul.

Paul,
Check out this forum http://board.marlincrawler.com/ - search under EFI or fuel injection conversions. Some of the 22R heads are the same as the fuel injection heads and the HiLux/Surf 22R-E EFI components will bolt on them. Other early 22R heads can e converted using Corolla/Celica 22R-E EFI components.

Check this site out before you commit to anything

I building up an RJ70 Bundera, swapping the 22R (carburetted) for a 22RE (efi), there is a fair bit to consider so do your research, search some of the american pickup forums and get as much information as you can. You can never have too much information
