Just got back a big two days with lots of breakages for all, Brad Cooper had a bad roll yesterday but is back in the running. Speaking of running Ludacris is sucking in lots of air and now has a better view of what Navis really do, Will go throu the list late need a shower and some real food!!!

Bill Lynn rolled on SS5 recovered themselfs and rolled again and DNF Cracker wasn't well (blurd vision) and a replacement Navi was run to finish the day, both are not hirt and fine when I left

I Just had a visit from Lawrie Sternbecks navigator. They had broken a rear axle and came all the way down to the lower south side of Brisbane to get a replacement. They had also allready burnt up 5 New Stock CVs.
Roger said that almost ever vehicle has been down with repairs allready.

Carnage was everywhere not one has been spared without some sort of problem, CV's, axels, Diffs, High mount winchs, shockies and winch cable after cable
Toughnut was retired for the last half of the day, with lots of problems to fix, Ludacris & Jason did in there batteries and had to find replacements but finished all the stages, I had to give Ludacris a penalty for swearing  he normaly does that to me over the radio and when no one can hear him :finger:

Xtreme International Day 3
Correspondent - Sam Jones

Day 3 bought on the GPS + night runs. The competitors were split into 2 groups, A & B, with one group leaving the park to run the GPS stages and the other group running winch stages for the day within the park, tomorrow will be run in reverse with the groups swapping over to run the opposite stages.

Brad Cooper & Martin Lewis broke a steering arm whilst out on the GPS run, and Glen & Anita Tiechman had finished the first stage of the GPS run, but then sheered all the bolts off their swivel hub, making the car near impossible to steer, After spending 2 hours fixing it, they still managed to find 1 point in the 2nd stage of the GPS run, still earning themselves some points.

Allan Tierney also suffered some damage, blowing his front diff on the GPS run, and officially retired from the competition. When asked if he thought the competition was too hard Allan replied “No! I would love to give it another go next yearâ€

Anyone know the placing's now after the two split days?

Post by A.R.T Racing »

I heard a rumour that Shane and Krusty are now coming second in the Cruiser! They are really shining in this tough event and doing well. Apparently placed in all the GPS runs and finished the last run with a broken rear axle and still beat Brent and Sam.

yeah and last year he blew up his rear diff....

and considering Lawrie won the XWC series... was looking forward to another exciting annoucement at the next club meeting....

Oh well, we'll see how Gary Wardropper and Sean Calcino do. Knowing Sean, he would be controlling Gary well, making sure they finish.

Xtreme International Day 6
Images courtesy of My Action Images

SS1, This was just a simple drive in the Park change a wheel and get back into the finish garage in 15 minutes, guess what not so simple. This SS saw Matt Bolger, Brent Perrett, Jason Christensen, Peter Stirling receiving a DNF and Fester & Jason Lake playing "RED SUBMARINE". After getting stuck (trying to reverse) at the start of the water in SS1, Fester being Fester put the right foot down and launched landing them in the middle of the water course all that was visible come recovery was the top of the roof & snorkel, after recovery and a few drinks motor was drained of water & restarted. I have since herd that Steven Spielberg wants him and Jason to star in the new "Hunt For The Red Toyota" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They will return tomorrow. Winner of SS1 was Michael Ranson & Blake Rogers followed by Norm Walters & Roger Edols coming in 3rd Shane Sheraton & Troy Wilmot

SS2 saw Brent Perrett & Sam Cooper in first, this Stage had a 14 minute DNF and after 1hour & 17 minutes Brent & Sam got into the finish garage. Fastest time on the stage was just over 5 minutes by Gary Wardropper & Sean Calcino and second place with a fantastic drive was Jason Christensen & Cris Lamb , these guys drove the furthest on the rock wall followed by John Butler& Andrew George. Bad luck for the day was Matt Bolger & Jason Wotherspoon (ring in navigator) who rolled on the down hill ending on his wheels and continued the run finally running out of time on the return run into the finish garage. SS3 won by Norm Walters & Roger Edols followed closely by Brent Perrett & Sam Cooper 3rd was Gary Wardropper & Sean Calcino

SS4 quick sprint and a winch fastest being Gary Wardropper & Sean Calcino followed by Jason Christensen & Cris Lamb followed by John Butler & Andrew George.

SS5 another open drive with a winch won by Peter Stirling & Paul Espig followed by Brent Perrett & Sam Cooper then Gary Wardropper & Sean Calcino.

The day finished at 1530 hrs & competitors are now in the hold compound repairing vehicles. Tonight's major repair will be Norm Walters and Roger Edols (stand in for Clay Mongan) having to replace a clutch on their GQ ute, by doing this they will also receive outside assistance penalties.

The XI is really heating up, the drivers are driving harder so the rest of the XI is going to be very interesting.
