hey guys just a few questions...does anyone know if a diesel tank of a 2002 model 3litre t/d woudl fit a 84 model 2.4 diesel? or has anyone fitted a tank from a newer model... as i am after a cheap standard sized tank for the mean time until i convert to petrol...are there any tanks off other 4wd's that i could fit under the tray etc?

diesel tank compatability
84lux-project. A-frame, 350 chev, turbo 350 auto, duals, rears up front, crossover, twin locked and a 118" wheelbase
I run a GQ petrol tank at the back of my Lux tray tucked up above the chassis rails, holds more and is better weight over rear axle, BeeBee was running his standard Lux tank in same pos, pretty easy mod, although I put in pretty beefed up cross members to mount it, as they'll also be useful for mounting coils in the future.
Can't really see it in pic but it sits on top of rear cross member, and other is above rear axle, sits nicely under the tray out of harms way unlike the standard tank, can get a tank for 50-100 $
Hope that helps a little
