How many blocks for GQ LWB body lift?
How many blocks for GQ LWB body lift?
Hey am getting a 2' body lift but am being told 10 or 11 blocks. There are 3 across the back but the middle 1 is apparently a bitch to get to!!
Has anyone experienced any problems by not instaling the middle block on the rear? or has everyone replaced all 11?
Chers guys, ToMMo

mate if I wasnt working I would come and help.
It isnt a hard job.
Just undo all the bolts. Then when they are all loose, leave the nuts on the bolts on one side. Jack up one side of the car slide the blocks/spacers in, put the bolts in. Then do the other side. Then get the rattle gun out and put it onto the highest torque setting drive around for a week and re-tighten.
When doing the front 2 you will need 1 real long extenstion bar or 2 smaller ones. As you need to come in from the top of the space between the grill and the radiator support panel.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY....
On mine I already had the carpet out. So we just hacked the crap out of the floor.
I have been told that if you put a wet rag around the bottom of the shifters. You can heat them up with an oxy torch and just bends them.
This is what I will do when the next gearbox goes in.
If you dont either bend the shitfters or cut the floor. With a 50mm or more BL. You will have problems with selecting 2nd, 3rd and rev. Also low range will be a problem.
If you have access to an oxy. I would reccommend bending the shifters. Looks way better than having to cut the floor and then trim the carpet.
And it was alot more metal cut out ofthe floor than I thought there would be.
Supposedly if you only do a 30mm lift there is no need to cut the floor.
