ALL Holden V8 hilux owners! whats the best P/steering pump??

As the Q says ,I've got a holden pump but its noisy and not real good room wise have any of ya's used the lux pump as they are smaller BTW i'm also going to X over from normal P/steer any ideas.I'm sure the lux pump wil be fine just the mounting pump will be the issue. :idea: :roll: :)

Pumps of ford sixes (200 250 XD-F etc) are the best pumps ever and there cheap as chips
Wanted: Car trailer or beaver tail truck, let me know what you got

The V8 holden runs the same pump with a different pully. They are both Saginaw pumps.

That's dead right but ever tried to get hold of a holden one.More importantly with the brackets. people want money for them. i,ve even got a ford pump i'll donate if he wan'ts to come pick it up

XF pump works a treat!! must be different valving.
Will bolt up to the holden brackets no problem.
my mates with the holden pump used to foam up the oil.
Remember some days your the pigeon and other days your the statue

anyone know approx what pressures these pumps put out?? I know it would vary on diff trucks, but an approx would be good..

Brighty how was ya trip O/S haven't heard from you in a while but did notice you were back on not long ago.BTW whats the name of the pub in Newy on the same side of the road as the train station, the one clled stripps and stars or something used to have tity girls there :?: :?: up the road from Fanny's as a few mates are going to newy this weekend but i can't remeber the names of those joint's,The Brewery , the nightclub up from where the Great Northern(my old Home :D :D ) used to be past tattersals had a orwsum cocktail bar.

G'day Webbie,
I kept my power steering pump off the diesel and made my own brackets to suit the V8. I have got only 1 belt that runs the water pump, alternator & power steering pump and it all works a treat.
The Surf pump is very compact and doesn't struggle at all with big tires.
