Motorway Tyres

Post by waxhead.. »

Can anyone tell me of a supplier of Motorway Tyres in SE qld, preferably Gold Coast.
I hear people are getting these Motorway Mud Terrains fitted for as little as $100 a tyre, is this correct?

180 is probably the mongrel monoform
the retreads are around 150
the mudders are much cheaper
photo is the mongrel tread pattern

if its 180 for a retread muddy, dont even bother. go checkout the simex centerpede mt, i've been quoted 160 each, thats for a brand new mud terrain, not a retread

I am not interested in them unless they are around the 100 mark, thats why I asked on the forum. That same shop will do silverstone's for 200 a corner.

Victoria may be different of course, but I dealt through Widetread tyres, I think they may be national? They quoted around 110 for the remolded mudders. This was a year ago, so inflation and/or freight costs and/or any other excuse may have upped the prices.

Lj Tyres Virginia and Neta Tyres Northgate are distributors in Brisbane so I was told by Motorway. Lj seems to have more stock. I got my 32 mongrels from Lj for $185 each and i've heard muddies are a lot less. if theres no one on gold coast you'll have to make the trip up i guess but its no worries coz when i was getting mine he said come down straight away and was done in bout 30 mins fitted and balanced! I'm happy!!
