ATT: QLD 4wd Clubs - 4wd QLD Corroborree 2006

Annually, 4wd QLD holds a gathering of the clubs for ‘meet and greet’ and for the Annual Country Meeting – The Corroboree. In 2006, the Gold Coast 4wd Club Inc is hosting this event and is planned for the May Day weekend – April 28 to May 1st. The last 2 events have had approximately 120 vehicles, and in 2006 we expect similar numbers.

The weekend is to be held on private property at Canungra - the same property that the GC2000 was held on. The event involves:
- the annual Inter-club Olympics (series of team games),
- over 30 trips to 10 different locations, with 4wd trips from easy/medium (the property, Numinbah and Nerang SF, etc) to hard (i.e. the property, Ormeau, etc), and social trips to local wineries and markets,
- Inter-club Skit contest,
- A Band and raffles on Saturday Night.

The Country Meeting is a chance for all clubs to have a say in the running of the Association, and for all members to be involved.

As well as 4wd Monthly and numerous local businesses. This list will be greatly improved upon as the event draws nearer. Sponsors are needed for prizes for the Skit Show, raffles, and an information package / show bag. Any further support would be greatly appreciated.

I personally am co-organiser of this event, and would appreciate any support from other board members that have been involved in organising something similar, as I have never done this before. With up to 400 people expected, keeping these people entertained is a difficult job.
