Has anyone fitted an aftermarket water or oil temperature guage?
Where did you fit the water temperature probe?
The factory one is sitting in a great position directly under the thermostat.
Was thinking of just removing the factory one and putting the aftermarket one in its place. But would be nice to have both working.
I figure if i t it in anywhere the accuracy is going to be pityful, It really needs to be protruding into the head or water pump hoiusing or something.
Mainly just after any ideas.
(This is on a HJ60, 2H Engine)

I ditched the original gauges on my 60...because if you are putting in aftermarket gauges, why keep the originals?
Just a heads up on mounting them...do not put them on the A pillar...Because was informed recently by DoT (QLD) that it is illegal to have them there due to it being a head striking area.

yep, i mounted em under the ash tray, ive got oil pressure and id like a water temp and possibly a oil temp. I have room for about 3 there without affecting the gear stick and still in fairly clear view of driver, except when in first gearG_loomis wrote:I ditched the original gauges on my 60...because if you are putting in aftermarket gauges, why keep the originals?

was mainly water temp i was curious about as to get it accurately you really need to read from the head or on the hot side of the thermostat.
