Does a 2-3" lift require extended sway bar linkages

Post by Blackprince »

I have just put a spring lift on my GU 3ltr TD it has raised the front approx 2" and the rear approx 3" I want to retain the sway bar (for insurance reasons). With this type of lift will I need to extend the sway bar linkages (front or rear) or will the original ones be ok. If they do need to be replaced what is a fair price and where can they be obtained

 :P

Get them extended... You'll lose heaps of travel if you dont.

Just take em off. I drove my GQ without them for 2 years no probs. 6" coils 2" body lift. Flexes better without them.

Mattsmad - He's already said why he wants to keep em.
I'm the same, would be interested to know the formula for working out how much to extend them?
Anybody?

ive got a 3" lift and i had mine exteded. Snapped em for the 3rd time now. For the price of gettin them extended, you may as well pay the extra for quick disconnects. Because they limit travel so much, down the track you will probably want to get more flex and end up getting disconnects (or taking off swaybars) anyway...

Extra Long Sway bar Link pins are $55 a pair. However I don't have any in stock at the moment. I can let you know when they are in if you like.
