vented rotors & IFS hubs
I have an 84 runner which I want to convert from solid to vented rotors and fit IFS hubs for increased track. I have search the forum and need some details confirmed.
1. IFS hubs should bolt straight on???
2. I’d rather make the spacers to save a few bucks any ideas on the width????
3. Need DBA 151 or similar vented rotors 302 dia, 49 back spacing, 20 thick, bolt straight on???
4. Original or IFS calipers can be used????

De-lux I have read that post and it’s doesn’t mention what the original rotor for that vehicle is and there is two suggested sizes for the spacers, 30mm using vented and 33mm using solid rotors. Mine being an yn60 runs a 7.3mm thinner rotor than the DBA 151 so do I need IFS calipers or will the original calipers work. After reading many other posts I would just like these details confirmed, as there is some discrepancies in the posts over the IFS hubs “rotor mounting boltsâ€

2. I would just buy the spacers from someone like www.abt4x4.com and support their busnesses. But if you are going to make your own you probably will need to find someones to measure accuratly.
3. Yes DBA151 (or DBA151SL and SR for slotted ) is what you need they are the sloid axle vented rotors.
4. Not sure if originals will fit but the IFS ones will and they have bigger pistons anyway.
I am doing this swap in a couple of weeks I will post some pics as I go.

There are three ways to do the IFS hub swap-
1. Use solid axle rotor (vented) and buy spacer from ORI, MandM etc or machine one up. It will need 12 holes per spacer- 6 for IFS hubs to bolt to (the bolt heads need to have their heads fully countersunk into spacer)) and 6 so you can bolt the hub and spacer to the rotor thru the old stud holes in rotor(these holes in spacer need to be threaded).
2. Use solid rotor and make up spacer. The spacer will need 6 holes. Drill six new holes in the rotor and you simply use 1.5 inch longer bolts that bolt through the rotor, through the spacer and into the IFS hub. In my opinion this is much dodgier than above but simple to make.
3. Use IFS rotor and hub and make up spacer for caliper? Not familiar with this one.
The IFS rotors are smaller in diameter than solid as well.
