16"

Post by sudso »

I want to put 265/80/16 A/T's on my 98 Rodeo once its susp. is lifted 2". The diameter of the tyres that I'm looking at is 806mm.

Does anyone know if they"ll fit ok at full lock and full droop. maybe one of you has tried and succeeded or failed. I'd like to know.

The local tyre outlet in my town dont have anything in stock to try out that suits my truck so I thought I"d ask here

Cheers, Sudso

Why not use 265/75 16? You'll be able to find them by the truck load.

There was a guy on ExplorOz that had them fitted to his R7 V6 Rodeo with I think only a 2in lift. Don't know what offset he had.

The 80's profile had a significantly larger O/D than 75's in their 16" range

Hi Sudso - I have a set of virtually new Cooper ST's 245/75 on 16" rims selling under "Tyres" on this site, just paste the following link into your browser. These are a legal fitment to your vehicle in terms of width & height. Let me know if you need any other into.

Thanks neetas but I have decided since I first posted that I'll stick to 15" rims as I have 2 sets (1 set alloys with a positive offset)

I can get a 6 set of new S/T's 265/80/16's on new sunraysias from the local Bridgestones for about $1500.......package deal, but will stick with the 15's for now as the alloys have near new duellers on them to wear out first too.
