Servicing a Diesel Cruiser in Brisbane HELP!!!!!!!!!!

Post by BJH »

Hi all, i know this has probablly been asked Heaps b4 but i did do a search and didn't find anything. i may have been doing the search wrong but this kinda stuff changes from time to time anyways.

I am about to take delivery of my second Diesel Landcruiser (moving up from a 82-2h to a 96-1hz). i use to do everything myself in the old girl but want to keep the service book updated with the new truck as it has a perfect service history to date. I live in Brisbane on the north side, but would consider driving to the south side if i get a few people giving me a raving review of a good mechanic on the southside.
I was going to take it to Toyota but after hearing that my dad's 100 series TD got into a fishtail with a boat on the back on the highway just south of Mackey on sunday becasue the guys at Toyota didn't tighten the bolts in the front caliper properlly around month ago sorta put me off them!!!! any help would be appricated and taken on board.

Many thanks
Brandon.

off topic though my boss took his new v8 100 series in to toyota for its first service and ended up getting a call from then, the idiot mechanic smashed it just driving from customer carpark to service dept, he was 2 weeks without a car, but as they say " oh what a feeling " toyota

When I get any work done to my 80 I go to PIVA on Giles Rd Redland Bay. The owner has a 80 so he knows what needs to be done on them. They charge a honest rate ($45 p/h) and don't take forever to do the job.

All my family now use them as well as a number of friends in the area and I have never heard anything bad about them at all.
My Cruiser is Environmentally Friendly.

It runs on recycled Dinosaurs.

David @ 4x4 Excellence is very good, helpful, friendly and won't sell you what you don't need. He inspected my truck for nothing before I bought.
