King springs very good

Ranchos. Look elsewhere.

Are you after quality, or cheap?

YMMV.

King Springs - very good, have them in mine with no sagging. Given an excellent ride and not too stiff.

Rancho - not sure, have heard mixed reports.

If you are after quality, go for Koni.

You could also look at dobinson packages as well they are cheaper.

But if you want quality.

id go better in the shocks perhaps a koni or even an OME alot people are using OME kits on there GU's and getting a really good lift package.

Just depends on your budget i guess. King springs are good but anything over 2" sag quite easy.

My OME springs sit quite high and had them in over a hear and over corrugations at the outback they were fine and so were the shocks (LTR).

King manafacture a large proportin of the springs in Aus, the king branded ones are differnt rates than say tough dog and megalift. but out of the same factory, I would suggest they are a safe option.

Ranchos are way to small for a gu, and would suggest any number of larger bore foam cell or gas shocks for a similar price, EFS, Lovell, Tough dog, Powerdown, Procomp snd so on.

you will pay up to $1000 for a standard set up depending on springs and shocks, dont skimp on the shocks or they will fail and cost a lot more n the long run
If the above post did not offend you in any way please PM me so I can try harder!!

Try calling this guy...John Zorden 0418 780 611

I got a custom 4" lift from him using dobinson shocks and lovells coils for a really good price. :D

The best part is...you get to try it and swap it until you get exactly what you are after.

Tell him that Michael with the Defender gave you the number and he will look after you. ;)

It is the same price for a 2 inch lift or a 3 inch lift. The coils and shocks are a special build and not in a catalgue. It costs me a bit more but I don't charge any more because usually if people go for the 3 inch lift they will also buy castor correction bushes $100 and extra long sway bar link pins for the rear $55 for the pair. Don't worry I won't charge yo any more if you don't get them.

A longer brake line for the rear is also available if you are too lazy to organise it yourself $65. Just swap your existing rear one to the front. This goes for the sway bar link pins also unless you have a GU or 80 series.

If you need bigger lift from 4 inches to 7 inches then:
Coils are $170 for the pair
Shocks are $100 each for the 4-5 inch lift or $120 each for Procomps.
Drop boxes or castor correction plates are $240
Panhard rods are $200 each with poly bushes or $180 each without bushes or $250 each with Genuine nissan bushes pressed in. Very strong Panhard rods. All this stuff is fully engineerd for Qld. I will have to check about other states.
Upper trailing arms $140 each
Lower trailing arms $190 each. You won't need both upper and lower but you will need either upper or lower, most go for lower because it is a good idea to strengthen your lowers because you are more likey to hit them in a big lift. Also the lowers push your diff back a bit which helps to fit in the bigger tyres.
Extra long sway bar link pins are $55 a pair still.
And you will need brake lines front and rear so $120
FREE FREIGHT for all of this stuff unless you buy stuff one at a time.

Shane at fwdstuff@bigpond.com or 0409 593 414 any time.
