Need help organising comp rules etc in WA

Post by bulldogy »

Guys over in WA the comp scene is a bit retarded at the moment .
What we need is some help from the organisers from over east on how to setup and run the comp with rules etc
Can anyone who knows a organiser get them to put down how the rules are for a allterain type comp all classes etc.Or just give us a few phone # so we can get things going.
What we need is
1 How too classify the seperate divisions.
EG A division total stock B division etc etc all the way to a buggy class.
2 Whats the best way too run a course timed or distance type points or a mixture of both?
3 Any HELP appreciated .

We need to get some comps happening and get the rules sorted out this seems to be the hardest part as well as finding the propertys.
Thanks Dave

I beleve insurance for timed events is far more then distance points type. But more fun to watch as it makes ppl do silly things in last seconds
Its a wheelbase thing

ccda (cross country driver assoc.) is the best way to go.
they will have people in WA that can ensure your event is run to certian standards (for insurance purposes ect)

go to the website for more info.

This is why we need a standard set of rules

Can we get in touch with the guys from weroc in the eastern states??
any one no any contacts??
a simple email from them on specs for dividing 4x4 into each class and how points are determind + basic over all rules would be very very helpfull.
do competers get a booklet with this info??

Thanks Shane

PS hope u dont think im taking over your thread bulldog, im just keen for some good comps over here like u  .

Shane the werock rules are totally different, but you can get a copy of it from some of the threads that have been posted about it.

Or alternatively you can contact Sam Overton (strangerover) as he is the organiser.

So when we find some rocks, we can use werock rules.
Should still be able to use some of the class rules?

Did you guys look at CCDA rules as previously suggested?
The Outback Challenge and Victorian 4WD events are based on CCDA rules.

The rules are located in the site below:

http://ccda.4wd.org.au/cms/index.php?na ... oad&sid=31

What kind of event(s) are you planning to organise?
