recovery points.

Post by dromana7411 »

after finaly getting my new engin into my car, and going to a test run lastnight, we got bogged. so my mate recovered us... but because i have a bullbar, and a rear bar (thingo) i cant get to the origonal hooks.

so what i need to know is where can i put some of those bolt on ones.

am i safe to put them on the bullbar, inline with the chassie, (where the bullbar is bolted to it?)

this is the back of it...

I wouldn't bolt them on the bar. Chassis is the only go for me.

i watched as a bloke was getting winched off a recovery point mounted to his bullbar........the bullbar mounting bolts sheared clean off. mount recovery points to your chassis only

For the rear take the ball out and put a rated 19mm shackle thru the hole.
On the front post a PIC of under the bar to the rails so we can have a gander.
