vibration dampner thingy.

hi all, ive got a busted bit, its the rubber mount of the vibration dampner mounted n the bottom of my transfercase, its a 3.0 dsl hilux 1998 model, has anyone also had this prob, and where did you source the bit from, ive been quoted over 400 bux from toyota for the part alone..

you mean a gearbox mount the piece that sits between the cross member and gbox correct and at 400 id find a good one at the wreckers

If its the same as the 2.8 one (which I think it is) I have a non genuine brand spanker you can have for $60 plus postage.
I was going to use it when I did my duals but plans have changed.

its definately not a gearbox mount. its a 1kg block of steel that is suspended by a rubber mount and it mounts to the transfer case by 2 bolts, and its sole purpose it to take the vibrations out of the transfer case and hence the gear stick. its an odd looking thing.. ill try get a pic up for everybody..

OK sorry the thing you are talking about is not what I have.
I was thinking transfer case mount :?
