GQ Upper Radius Arms, retaining bolt.

Post by Mowie »

I was under the GQ today and to my surprise I noticed that the one of the retaining bolts on drivers side upper radius arms was fucking missing :shock: Its the one that holds it above the axle housing.

The arm has now fallen free and is resting on the bracket on the axle housing. The one on the chassis end was still there but the nut was at the end of the thread. I've just had the bushes in them replaced a few days ago and they must haven't got around to tightening it, the passenger side was fine.

Now questions;

#1 I need a new bolt asap, where can I get one from right away.

#2 How safe am I just driving on the black stuff missing an upper radius arm in the rear suspension??

#3 Are the Upper Radius Arms the same for SWB and LWB, I'm under the impression they are.

Cheers.

just call the company that changed it and tell them to send someone to fix it or send a towtruck out for you to transport your car to them

ahh ok then to make it easier for yourself just take the bolt out of the one on the other side and go to a bolt place and get a bolt and nut for it preferably a nylon locking nut and make sure they are high tensile steel atleast grade 8 - 9

Don't take the bolt out of the other side, take the bolt out of the other end of the loose one, they are both the same.
Dissconecting the other arm will make it bloody hard work to put it all back together again!!!!
