Mate has an '85 Bundy and despite some mods to the engine (re-ground cam and flowed the zorst port) he is still dissapointed with the performance.......lack of power and fuel economy of around 17L/100km.
Anyone have any comments on this, is that normal for a Bundy?

i also have 22r - your fuekl economy sounds exactly like mine. If apocolypse is getting that economy can he come here and tune mine

also dont forget - bigger air in and bigger exhaust will decrease fuel economy (i also have this) but still it is pretty farkded at $1.30 and going up all the time.

as i have just sold my bundy because of its lack of performance, there isn't a whole you can do to the 22R to spice it up without spending a decent amount of dollars if you look overseas (USA) they have a mountain of spares and hop up parts for the 22R (including turbo conversions) but at the end of the day its still a 22R your mate is better of doing engine or efi conversion (Commo V6 or 3RZFE) to getter any real benefit

I finally got to drive mine home today (v6 conversion) It flies. I reckon I'd get close to 10L/100Kms in the city,
but on the highway, I would put it to maybe 15L/100kms
cause you have to milk it to get anywhere this year.
That said, I got extractors, good ones and a decent 2.5" zorst
and it goes heaps better. Also, get the carby rebuilt. After
I did this (the carby had done like 300K Kms+) there was a
noticeable improvement.

I carnt see any problem with the fuel economy. Did a trip to Milbradale (26km south of Singleton) from campbelltown towing a trailer of around 700kg with my Raider. The 2.6lt 4cyl petrol got me around the 24L/100km mark. Driving to Melbourne from Campbelltown (840Km) cost me around the $135 mark in fuel each way.
