I have a GU with dry swivel joints on the front. ( I guess thats what they are called, the bit where the front wheels turn, with a felt thing that smears the grease over the knuckle.)
Can they be greased easily or do I need to pull the hub and wheel bearing out to grease them. I was hoping you could just undo a bolt on the top and pump some grease in.
Thanks

Grease Points on GU
Bob, it isnt sposed to be greasy, just clean. the main points for lubrication on those knuckles are inside. The Cv, wheel bearings, swivel hub bearings etc. You dont lube it from outside. The only maintance reqd is checking for water ingress and repacking the bearings, cv's every now and then.
That "felt" thing is a scraper to keep the crud off the seal behind it.
You see a little oily dirt adhered to the bits around this hub - normal.
