Looks tuff. But do you think it has enough gear to warrant price?

It'll cost you more than $25k to set up your own GQ with intercooled turbo, hi mount winch and virtually competition ready.

He would have spent upwards of 10K at JPC, that leaves 15K to get the car to where its at including the purchase price, considering the motor i think 25K is reasonable for that, but not much more

that car is the one of the ex jpc demo car, so its had lots of effort put into it in terms of the turbo setup and engine. The guy who bought it has put alot of effort into it to keep it nice (but it has been used offroad), had it off the road for 2 or 3 weeks replacing heaps of stuff on it like wheel bearings and clutch and stuff like that when he bought it, so you wouldn't be buying a flogged heap of crap, it has been cared for and had many $$$$ put into it.

It wont sell.. way too much for what it is.. Yes its well setup engine etc.

.. but the ad just doesnt sell the car.
What suspension? what seats, what else does it have etc. what turbo, what IC, anyother extras? what other tires?

240kw at the Wheels, that would be so highly strung, you wouldnt wanna plan on treating it hard and having it last..

which would you prefer?

240RWKW is nothing for even a std TB42. The motor will be fine, i would be more worried about other driveline parts if he treats it hard.
TB42's are very strong bottom ends, with full girdles from the factory.

he only wanted $10k...
spare diffs etc...
the only thing he said was if he was to continue comps in it, he would throw it on a new chassis... but apart from that, i was going to grab it :(

he withdrew it today, i think he didnt get what he wanted for it... or sold it off ebay... If that shorty is "WORTH" $25k, that ute is too.

he would have had no choice, if you dont put a reserve price then you have to take the highest bid. Although he cold have just pulled th pin on the auction the day before or something.
