Swapping GU rear diff ?

My 4.5 GU has the large rear diff, which prevents me from running Nissan 4.6 ratios (only available in after market).
I am looking at the option of changing the complete diff over to the smaller diff that appears in the deisels.
That will enable me the fit genuine Crown wheel and pinions in the rear.

anyone know the price on a complete diff and the value of the large diff that am replacing.

any advice would be great.

your probably looking at about the $1500 mark. thats second hand complete, standard ratio is 4.3 i think
